Moving Forward Scholarship
We are thrilled
to announce the launch of our highly anticipated scholarship program at Moving Forward! As part of our ongoing commitment to empowering and supporting the youth in our community, we have established this program to provide deserving individuals with the opportunity to pursue their dreams and unlock their full potential.
Moving Forward believes
the youth of our community have the power to make Richmond a better place through projects that promote health, academics, and community service.
Moving Forward is offering scholarships to students who currently reside in Richmond, CA or the surrounding area (i.e., El Sobrante, San Pablo) and/ or attend a high school in Richmond. These students must show a record of volunteerism and be on the path to higher education. Those who fit the following criteria may be eligible to receive a scholarship.

Moving Forward Scholarship is NOW LIVE!
This initiative aims to empower and support aspiring individuals who demonstrate outstanding potential, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for making a positive impact on their communities.
● Applicants must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5 or above (weighted)*Exceptions for special circumstances may be considered. For example, outstanding volunteer service.
● Applicants must have been accepted or currently attend the following: 1.) junior college 2.) 4-year university 3.) graduate school 4.) trade or vocational school. Please submit your most current transcript or proof of current enrollment.
● Applicants must be between the ages of 17-29 years old.
● Applicants must include at least one letter of recommendation.
● Applicants must participate in a minimum of two of the following Moving Forward community events or two other local organization’s volunteer events.
● Award Amount: Starting at $500 and up to $1,500
● Application Deadline: July 15th, 2024
● Criteria: Leadership skills, and a passion for community service
